Do you like your action two fisted? Do you like your banter fast and sassy?
Is pulp something other than your preference in the orange juice cooler at your
local grocery mart? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then
the Tales of the Red Panda: The Crime Cabal is a book that you should clasp to
your bosom. This is pure Pulp joy filled with mystery men, sassy sidekicks,
villainous mobsters, zombies, fist-fights, gun-fights, sword-fights, and enough
squirrel-fu to fill the most voluminous can of rodent whoop-arse. Open with
caution. In taking his Radio-serial characters into print, Greg Taylor has not
lost a whit of the humour and sense of wonder and excitement that they bring.
The Red Panda swears it. - Shayne Dark

Things you will find in this book:
1) Heroic action coupled with clever
repartee, truly reflecting the spirit and style of the great shows of old time
2) Fun, edge-of-the-seat suspense, with a healthy dollop of
3) Pugilistic Canadians
The Crime Cabal isn't a parody or an attempt to take the mickey out of the pulp-hero genre. Rather, it brings the larger-than-life fiction of the 30's and 40's into the modern era.
It's witty and fun and clever and serious and unashamedly heroic. So if you like
action, adventure, and curvaceous Torontonian ladies that could punch your local
crime boss into next week, then run, don't walk, to the "Add to Shopping Cart"
button now, and get on with the clicks.
- William Merlock

Tales of the Red Panda: The Crime Cabal has good guys that you wish truly existed, bad guys that deserve everything they get, action that would make a stuntman jealous and romantic banter that leaves you wanting more.

This is a great book both for long time fans/listeners of the Decoder Ring podcast as well as people who haven't heard of the characters yet. Gregg Taylor has been writing these characters for a while now for audio drama and it shows in this book with each character having their own distinctive voice. There is plenty of action, mystery and intrigue and the end of each chapter will have you wanting more. - Bryan Kennedy
Harken back to the early days of radio and the larger than life adventures of the masked avengers of pulp fiction. A great read that peels those decades away, transporting us back to an age of heroes. - Michael Maloney
This is a great story for both the avid Decoder Ring Theatre fan or for the newly initiated. The Red Panda and The Flying Sqirrel are pulp hero characters. The Crime Cabal has all the humor and daringdo that we have come to expect from Mr. Taylor. Grab this book and hang on for the ride. - Kurtis Workman
Gregg Taylor's Red Panda audio adventures thrill internet and radio audiences twice a month with exciting, funny, and romantic tales of the Red Panda, a "The Shadow"-style pulp hero heavy on gear and hypnotic tricks, and his sidekick and love interest, The Flying Squirrel, who dishes out the licks to the bad guys. This story gives a rare in-depth view into the adventures of the Red Panda and the Flying Squirrel, and lets readers see into the minds of these characters in a way that's impossible to do in audio form. Which makes it a perfect moment to announce that Tales of the Red Panda: The Crime Cabal will have it's Mass-Market edition release this summer through BookSurge and be available on Amazon.com - and will be joined this fall by the second book in the series, Tales of the Red Panda: The Mind Master!
